Mal Thursday's nine day trip to Massachusetts to play with his two re-united bands The Cheetahs and The Malarians are now history. Mal Thursday and The Cheetahs played at The Sierra Grill in Northampton and Church of Boston, and The Malarians played at Church, The Sierra Grill, and The Lucky Dog Music Hall in Worcester. The Sierra Grill, located on Strong Avenue just before it turns into Pearl Street, is in the very location of the Bay State Cabaret, which Mal used to book back in the late 19800s and the first half of the 1990s.

The Fools will be playing at Stearns Square in Springfield tonight, Thursday, June 17th, at 7pm. The show is free and open to the public. It is unclear whether this is part of the annual series of free concerts that the city puts on every summer, since that series supposedly doesn't begin until July 1st and tonight's show is not on that list. But it is on The Fools' MySpace page, so we will go with that.
Also, the official schedule for the Stearns Square summer series of shows originally had no one booked for Thursday, August 5th, but now Jeff Pitchell and Texas Flood are scheduled for that night.
