78.0.1 The last performance ever by Worcester punk and hardcore band Last Lights will be held this Saturday night. The all-ages show will be at Club Oasis, which is inside London Billiards in Worcester. Lead singer Dominick Mallory died of a brain aneurysm on Monday, December 8th. All proceeds from the show will go to Dominick's family. See Saturday's listings for details.

78.0.2 There will be two special shows at Great Scott in Allston this coming Saturday and Sunday to benefit the family of Ron Holbrook. Ron was a member of The Welch Boys, and passed away in his sleep on August 18th, 2008. The Welch Boys will be headlining both shows, which will begin at 8pm and are 21+..

78.0.3 Dinkstock is a special benefit show to be held at The Beachcomber in Quincy this Saturday for ten hours, 3pm to 1am. Dinkstock is a 10 hour benefit/fundraiser for a good friend of everyone, Danielle Deveau (also known as "Dink"). Ten bands will be playing, including Capital Radio, Lovers, Muggers and Thieves, and The Beatings. Danielle has had a year of medical ups and downs, with the hosptial bills to prove it. At the age of 16 she was diagnosed with lupus. At the age of 27 she was diagnosed with cancer. Twice. In September of 2008 she was diagnosed with Hodgins Lymphoma. 78.0.4 Want to play Rock Band against members of Bang Camaro? You can have your chance in Boston this Friday evening. Bang Camaro's music has been featured in the best-selling video games Guitar Hero II, Rock Band, and Rock Band 2. Members of Bang Camaro will be at the Best Buy on the corner of Newbury Street and Mass. Ave. (formerly Virgin Records and HMV) this Friday night at 6:30pm. The first 50 people to come to the store at that time and sign up will get a chance to beat Bang Camaro at their own game!

78.0.5 The 15th annual WBCN/Berklee College of Music High School Battle of the Bands will be held at Harpers Ferry in Allston on Saturday, March 21st, Saturday, March 28th, and Sunday, March 29th. The finals will take place on Saturday, April 11th.

Twenty-four bands will be chosen to compete4, with five advancing to the finals. All shows are 1-5pm and are ALL AGES. All finalists will receive studio time and gift certificates valued at thousands of dollars. Berklee College of Music will be awarding thousands of dollars of scholarships towards their summer programs.

78.0.6 The Boston Rules, OK? Festival will be held at Harpers Ferry in Allston on Saturday, April 4th and Sunday, April 5th. There will be an all ages show each day with doors at noon, and a 21+ show each evening with doors at 8pm. Tickets are $13 in advance and $15 at the door for each show, and there is a four show pass available. Here is the line-up:
